Step by Step Instructions

1 Select your chosen papers or create your own by using the image composer on the `Tatty
Button cd rom `. You will need 5 different designs. Also print of a `Merry Christmas ` sentiment on a blank word document, this will be used to make the banner that goes across the rolls of paper later.

1

2 Play around with the colour chooses & cut 2 of each of the following sizes out.

2.5cms x 16cms, 3.5cms x 16cms, 4.5cms x 16cms, 5.5cms x 16cms & 1 piece cut at 6.5cms x 16cms.

2

3 If you don`t have a desired colour paper why not make your own up by stamping at random over the cut piece of paper. Stamp once for a bold image & then stamp again without re inking for a faded image. This will add depth to the finished piece.

3

4 Place some wonder tape around the bottom edge & sides to secure the roll in place once rolled. Use a pokey tool to start to curve at the other end of the paper.

4

5 Remove the tool once you have got started and continue to roll the paper up.

5 6 Once you are near the end of rolling the paper up remove the tape backing and roll the piece over the tape to secure it in place.

6

7 Complete this on all of the different size strips. You may which to distress the ends of the rolls with some peeled paint distress ink.

7

Cut a mat of using 2 descending labels 4 dies. Tape then in place to ensure the dies do not move off the card whilst placing them through the `Grand Calibur` die cutting
machine.

8

9 Take the printed sentiment and use the edge of the labels 4 die to trace around to get
the point on each end of the piece. Distress the label by using the peeled paint ink pad & the cut`n`dry foam pad.

10 Take the single rolled paper and using the cosmic shimmer glue stick the roll in the centre of the green mat, use the point of the die shape as reference for the centre.

10

11 Continue to glue each piece roll in place and allow to dry. Use the gold dauber around the edge of the die shape.

11

12 Make a mat of white shimmer card to add depth to the base card. Take the card & using the score lines that are close together on the Eazi score board, place the edge on the 2nd score line & score on the 1st line for a neat well measured border to the card.

12

13 Mat the white card with some gold mirri card. Place the red & green die shapes onto
the card using foam mounting tape for extra dimension. Stick the end of the sentiment to the card or pierce a hole & place the brad directly through the panel.

13

14 Repeat this process with the other end of the sentiment. If you have just stuck the piece
down then glue the false brads heads in place.

14

15  Finish the card off by adding the crinkled ribbon around the spine of the card and finishing it off in a bow. Place 2 of the decorative pins into the knot of the bow to secure them in place.

15

16  Here is a close up of the finished piece.

16

17 Why not use different decorative papers and sentiments for other occasions. You could
embellish the sentiment with some paper flowers & a few paper leaves where the brads are at the moment.

This would make a simple technique a quick yet effective design for all year round. Great
for using those strips of paper you so often trim off when making up a design.
