Step by Step Instructions

1 First select the Spellbinder marvellous square die set along with the Heartfelt Creations antiquity collection paper pad and recovery wishes stamp plate. Lace, ribbon & embellishments are also used to create the project.

2 Select the piece of heartfelt creations paper which has the franking stamp in the corner of the paper. Place this over a score board at an angle and score either side of the franked circle up to the border only.

3 Take a pair of small snips or use a craft knife over a craft mat & cut along the scored line making sure you cut around the top of the circle on the franked mark.

334 The cutting will make the edge of the line rough so place the line back on the score board & score along the same line again. This will make the edges of the cut line face downwards again & create a nice finish.

Place a piece of the antique gold card into the cut pocket of the paper.

5 5

6 Look at where you want the card to finish within the pattern of the paper & make a small snip with the scissors.

6 6

Use this mark to cut the card to the required width. Here it is 6¾” wide x 7″ deep)

8 Use the pattern of the paper to cut along the side of the paper. Keep the side patterned area of the paper as this will be moved over in the next step.

889 Move the paper over & stick it onto the paper using either a Cosmic Shimmer glue or some double sided tape.

9 9

10 Now the border effect is seen on 3 edges of the paper.

10 10

11 Take the flower stamp & ink it up using the aged mahogany distress ink pad. Stamp at random along the top edge of the paper.

11 11

12 To disguise the cut line of the paper stick a piece of teardrop lace over the join line. Do a double scored edging around the gold card.

121213 Repeat the process & match up the lace on the top edge of the paper. Wrap & secure the lace on the reverse of the card.

13 13

14 Swipe the antique gold card with an anti static bag ready for stamping next.

141415 Place the flower stamp on an acrylic stamp block & ink the stamp with a clear & resist ink or perfect medium.

15 15

16 Stamp the image at random over the gold card & tip over the true white Cosmic Shimmer embossing powder before heat setting the powder.

161617 Here a piece of cellotape caught on the paper so rather than wasting the paper keep these pieces as they are perfect for stamping sentiments on.

17 17

18 Stamp using the black archival ink pad & then quickly apply the clear embossing powder over the top before heat setting the words.

181819 Take some of the aged mahogany ink pad & add it to a piece of cut`n`dry foam & distress the edges of the paper panel.

19 19

20 Stamp the flower image & emboss it onto some white card before cutting it out using the smaller marvellous squares frame. Cut the larger frame out of a piece of the butterflies paper.

202021 Keep the dies in place after they have been placed through the Grand Calibur to emboss each piece & distress the edges using some more of the aged mahogany ink.

21 21

22 Remove the die to reveal the plain white border. Pick up the cut`n`dry foam & distress the very edges of the die shapes to soften the look.

222223   Now you have many elements that will be used in the final look of the project.

23 23

24 Often we are left with not enough ribbon so why not try this tip to achieve the same end result look.

242425 Wrap the ribbon around to make 2 loops & have the ends facing to the outside either side of the piece.

25 25

26 Take the 2nd shorter piece of ribbon & tie a knot around the centre of the loops and then tie another knot.

262627 Pull the ends of the ribbon downwards so that you have 2 ends each side of the 2 bows. Cut the ends off on the diagonal to achieve the cheats bow.

27 27

28 Take the gold dabber & apply the gold to the edges of the gold card & the 2 die shapes.

282829 Add some foam tape the reverse of the gold panel & attach it to the paper making sure the corner goes into the slotted area.

29 29

30 Add the 2 toppers to the card again using foam tape for added dimension.

303031 Cut 2 butterflies out of the paper pad & add some of the ink to the edges before adding them to the corner of the gold card.

31 31

32 Add some glossy accents to the franked circle.

33  So here is the finished card ideal for many uses & can be made in different colour ways. The list is endless so just have fun.
