This workshop shows how to make a delicate white on white Easter or sympathy card. It can also be an everyday card by using the basic design of the card and adding a lily panel on a Spellbinder die shape instead of the crosses.
Here is a close up of the micro bead lattice panels that frame the card & the inside is a beaded cross & parchment lily panel. This white on white card is made up of lots of different textures for a soft look delicate look.

Step by Step Instructions
Take a sheet of A4 coconut card and lay it in a landscape position. Mark ready to score later at 5/8” & 3 ¼” and then turn the card 180 degrees & repeat the same measurements on the other side edge. Now score down these measurements to create the basic shape of the card.
Crease all the score lines making sure the smaller measurement is creased upwards as this will act as a tab for the lattice panels later.
Take the lattice accents die and lay it next to the card tab to get an idea of how the pattern will lay once cut & on the card.
Cut a strip of coconut card & stick it onto a piece of self adhesive film onto the card (keep the backing on one side) now add a piece of wax paper just shy of the length of the die so the low tack will secure the die onto the card.
Cut the prepared piece through the Grand Calibur machine. Using the wax paper will allow the card to fall straight out & just poke any small pieces from the cut card. Retain the wax paper for later!!!
Be sure not to emboss this piece as it will crack the film backing. Remove the backing & pour over the micro beads with a box underneath!!!
Once the piece is covered press the beads into the film to make sure that are stuck in place.
Score 2 lines down the tab part of the base card. This will add as a feature for the finished piece.
Now add a line of wonder tape next to the scored lines and close to the edge of the tabbed piece.
Place micro bead panel onto the tab making sure it`s placed with the whole lattice section in the middle. Cut the small excess off at each end.
Cut 2 more lattice borders in white pearl card. Add some of the wonder tape & fold the tape over in half if you don`t have the 3mm tape.
Cut the border so there are just 2 full scallops of the design & off set the border behind the micro bead panel. The holes will give a guide as to where to add to the piece.
Add the wonder tape to the 2nd tab & lay the 2nd micro bead panel face down onto the just finished border so the pattern can be matched up when placed on the opposite panel.
Flip the border over & stick it down onto the tape. This will make sure the design is evenly matched up with both edges of the gatefold.
Repeat the process by adding the 2nd scallop piece of card behind the border. This is the basic design shape of the card.
Cut 2 panels of parchment so they fit the gatefold smaller panels on the card. Also cut a piece to fit the inside back panel. Swipe all the pieces with an anti static bag.
Prepare the corner heartfelt lily stamp onto an acrylic block; ink it with the clear perfect medium ink pad & stamp it on the top & opposite bottom corner of the parchment. Add Cosmic Shimmer white embossing powder over the ink.
Repeat the process on the smaller panels but this time angle the lily stamp to achieve
a random lily effect all over the piece. Heat set all the embossing powder
Here is the finished white embossed centre panel & side panels.
Remove the backing off a piece of self adhesive film & place the larger panel onto
the film making sure it is laid on slowly & smoothly so the piece doesn`t
Cut around the edge of the piece before adding a line of wonder tape across the top and bottom edge.
Remove the red backing & drip the tape into a tray of micro beads.
Gently remove the film backing & place the stamped panel onto the centre inside panel of the card. Using this technique allows the parchment to be added without seeing any glue or tape.
Add a line of double sided tape down the side edges of the parchment. The 2 edges are the ones that don`t have micro beads added to them.
Remove the backing off the tape & lay the wax paper lattice pieces that were saved from easier. They add a vellum feel to the piece.
Add some 3mm tape to the reverse edges of the small lily borders.
Now place the 2 panels to the front gatefold sections behind the lattice strips.
28 Add some adhesive film to some coconut card and cut out the largest & smallest cross remembering not to emboss the pieces. Also cut the medium cross in pearl white card. Add micro beads to the 2 crosses with film on.
Layer the crosses up using 3d glue & place in the middle of the card. This adds dimension the piece & by using the micro beads on alternate layers will also make a feature of the crosses. Add a pearl to the centre of the cross.
White on white works well when using different textures of white & pearl card, parchment, wax paper, white embossing & the micro bead as it just adds to the finish & draws the eye.
Here is a close up of the finished card with the cross becoming a feature once the card is opened and then displayed.
