Step by Step Instructions

1  Take an A4 sheet of pearl card & score at the A4 gatefold score point. This will make a large card using 2 sheets of A4 card.

1

2 Add some double sided tape to the flap section that has just been created. Place another sheet of matching card right up to the crease & secure the flap down onto the card.

2

3 Trim away the excess card to make the 8”x8” or 8.25”x8.25” card base.

3

4 Cut another piece of white card slightly smaller than the base card & lay the dies onto the card to gage where the top labels 4 die is best positioned.

4

5 Add low tack tape to the labels 4 die then cut & emboss the panel through the Grand Calibur machine. Also cut smaller labels 4 shape for the sentiment to be added later.

5

6 Score straight lines vertically 0.5cms on the panel. Cut a piece of the double sided adhesive film large enough to cover the hole.

6

7 Remove the backing of the film and place the still covered side over the die cut hole & hold this in place.

7

8 Turn the panel over and line up the scored panel so there is an even space all around the outer edge of the card. Press the film down onto the card base & remove the top panel.

8

9 Lift off the top layer of the film & add the micro beads over the film. Press the beads filmy in place. TOP TIP add a paper die shape in the centre before adding the beads to save wasting any unseen beads.

9

10  Here is the card die shape ready to be stamped later with a sentiment and shows how the beads will show up beneath the die shape.

10

11 Cut & emboss the heirloom bauble die shapes. Cut 2 of the 2nd largest die shape to create another false layer when adding the micro beads later.

11

12 Place the other 2nd largest die shape into the couture creations cultivated, intrinsic or any other couture creations embossing folder you wish to use & emboss through the die cutting machine. Once embossed swipe the old paper distress ink pad over the raised areas to highlight the pattern.

12

13 Take the largest die shape and add a layer of adhesive film to the shape or add the film before cutting the shape out but be sure not to emboss with the film on it as it will crack. Now add the smaller panel before adding the micro beads over the shape.

13

14 Take the 3rd smallest die & add faux pearls by dropping different size pearl glue dots over the die shape. Do not allow the nozzle to touch the card as the dot is applied to the card. Lift the glue bottle up to create a perfect faux pearl each time. Set aside to dry.

14

15 Punch a hole in the top of the micro bead bauble & tape a length of the wrinkled ribbon to the reverse side of the bauble.

15

16  Twist the ribbon around & around to create a lovely feel to the ribbon. The wrinkled edge will lay nicely up the ribbon.

16

17 Add foam pads over the reverse side of the bauble for added dimension to the piece.

17

18 Stick the bauble onto the scored panel & with the ribbon still twisted secure the end of the ribbon on the reverse side of the scored piece.

18

19 Attach the panel to the base card using foam pads. Stick double sided film on the bottom of the glass glintz. Remove the backing and drop them into the micro beads. Add to the corner section of the card using clear glue.

19

20 Stamp the sentiment using the old paper distress ink pad & stick it in the centre of the labels 4 aperture. Add the embossed bauble & the faux pearl layer to the bauble using foam pads & some glue for added strength. Continue to add faux pearls to the border of the card & finish with a bow on the base of the ribbon.

20

21 Here is a close up of the layers of the bauble. This card would make a lovely card for a blind person receiving the card as it has many tactile layers.

21

22 Here is a close up of the different layers. White on white can give stunning effects with just the hint of colour from the old paper ink pad.
