Step by Step Instructions

1 Create an A5 bag but this time use blues to colour in the tissue tape & the blossom flowers.

1

2 To make the micro bead flowers use a piece of thin copy paper. Ink the paper by swiping the distress ink pad over the paper. Using the width of the paper will ensure the lattice border will fit on the paper.

2

Add a width of adhesive sheet over the ink leaving the backing on one side of the adhesive sheet.

3

4 Place the lattice border over the adhesive backing and make sure that a small edge is left where just the paper & ink is showing. This will help when adding the micro beads later on.

4

5 Secure the die in place before passing it through the die cutting machine.

5

6 Once the piece is cut there will be a small edge where the adhesive hasn`t covered, this will be used to add the wonder tape later.

6

7 Remove any small pieces of paper from the lattice die to ensure that the next cut has its maximum cutting power. Repeat the previous steps to cut 2 more borders.

7

8 Tip the micro beads into an A5 box lid or any other shallow box.

8

Remove the backing from the adhesive paper and press the border strip into the micro beads. Once completed press the beads down & knock off any excess beads. Repeat this process on all 3 of the borders.

9

10 Place a strip of wonder tape along the bottom edge of the border. This is where the leaving off the adhesive sheet comes in handy as the paper doesn`t have any beads on the lower edge making it less bulky.

10

11 Make sure the tape is added with the border on the non stick craft mat and remove the tape backing.

11

12 Start to roll the border up tightly. Once the piece has been started lift the border up and roll the piece away from the mat.

12

13 Continue to pleat and secure the tape to one another.

13

14 Make sure the wider edges of the die are used to create the full petal effect.

14

15 & pleat the smaller areas to allow the larger areas to form around the flower.

15

16 Once the border has been finished then you`ll have a lovely beaded flower. Join another half length to make a fuller flower or even use a half border for a flower bud.

16

17 Continue the make the other 2 borders up to make 2 more flowers.

17

18 Print or select a delicate patterned paper & cut out the middle of the piece using the classic frame die. Distress the edges using the tumbled glass ink pad.

18

19 Start to colour in different sections of the collage stamp. Here stormy sky, faded jeans & tattered rose distress markers have been used to coordinate the colours in the project.

19

20 Build the ink up over the image & once it`s all covered breathe heavily over the stamp to moisten the ink before stamping it onto a piece of white card.

20

21 Here is the stamped image. Using the distress markers ensures the distress ink is added exactly where it was put. Try using more colours for the design to create different effects.

21

22 Add the stamped image behind the worked frame panel. Make a bow using the crushed ribbon before adding the micro bead flowers to the piece.

22

23  Stamp 2 of the butterflies using the same technique as before to allow the colour scheme to run through the project.

23

24 Cut the butterflies out before adding glossy accents to the piece. Whilst the glossy accents are still wet fold the butterflies up & rest them on the ink pad lid to add dimension to them.

24

25  Stamp the sentiment onto some white card & cut it out using the labels 4 die. Attach the glossy accents butterflies to the top corner of the frame to finish the project & also decoupage the butterfly in the collage for extra dimension.

25

26 Here is a close up of the finished piece along with the matching bag. Often a project needs a deeper envelope to add the finished piece to so this bag is perfect for these occasions.
