Step by Step Instructions

1 First take a sheet of 12” x 12” paper and fold it in half. Here the Tim Holtz paper stash has been used and it is ideal to fold and crease without the need of scoring the paper first, this then makes it a quick project.

1

2 Open the paper and turn and repeat the fold so you have 4 squares in place. Now fold
edge corner point into the centre and crease in place.

2

Continue and repeat this on all 4 corners.

3

4 Next turn the paper over so you have the reverse smaller square of paper.

4

5 Fold the square in half which will reveal the flap once folded.

5

6 Bring up both flaps from either side of the paper.

6

7 Place wonder tape around the inside edges of the paper.

7

8 Pierce a hole in the centre creased fold and pass a length of vintage ribbon through the hole and secure the end down using the wonder tape. It is optional at this point to
place a piece of card in the centre panel to stiffen the project but using the quality paper this is not needed in this case.

8

9 Remove the red backing of the tape and secure the 2 points together.

9

10 Trim across the tip of the point to add detail to the piece.

10

11 The Tim Holtz ruler is ideal to add the running stitch stamp onto.

11

12 Ink the stamp using the worn lipstick ink pad & stamp around all the edges of the wallet.

12

13 Stamp the frame image twice onto some card and cut & emboss one of the images using the labels 4 die.

13

14 Distress the edges of the panel using the worn lipstick ink pad. Stamp a sentiment & cut
the oval out and attach to the base frame using foam tape.

14

15 Attach another length of the vintage seam tape under the panel using the wonder tape & then attach this piece to the wallet making sure the foam tape is only on the top half of the panel.

15

16 Now you will have the seam ribbon attached under the panel and you will be able to tie a bow as the other end of the ribbon is secured in the middle of the wallet.

16

17 Stamp 2 baubles onto card using the worn lipstick ink pad & cut the pieces out once
they are dry. Place the baubles onto the top corner of the wallet.

17

18 Pierce the decorative pins behind the panel & into the foam tape to secure in place.

18

19 Attach a small bow & paper flowers around the pins to embellish the piece. Alternatively add paper flowers across the top of the card for a different look. This project
can be a quick card & you can use it as the base for a larger project.

19

20 Place money or a gift voucher in the 2 corner folds for a secure hold to the gift.

Here is the close up look at the project.

One Response to Gift Voucher or Money Wallet – A Quick & Easy Make to Enhance Giving Money As A Present

  1. Paper Junkie says:

This is a lovely way to give a voucher too. Very pretty and should be quick to make – although I always seem to take twice as long to finish something than I think I will. Just sent for the Sam Poole pine cone and pointsettia stamp plates. Also now tracked down the glassine papers so will be making lots of butterflies from your last project too!
