Step by Step Instructions
Cut 2 pieces of film, place them together and then add a piece of parchment paper over the top before ironing the film together. Place the film inside the embossing folder before running through your die cutting machine.
To make the flower cut 3 flowers from the film for each flower required. Leave 2 flowers whole and cut a slit into the middle of 1 of them, then with the final flower cut 1 petal segment out of the piece.
Take the flower with the slit and move the petal around to match the next petal and glue in place with the Cosmic Shimmer glue. Repeat this with the piece that has the petal removed.
Once the flower is dry, fold it in half and cut the bottom triangle off the flower. This will enable the petals to sit nicely once assembled.
Place the uncut flower as the base; add some cosmic clear glue to the centre of the flower before adding the slit flower head. Now add the final flower and place a pearl in the centre to finish. Set aside for later.
Although this step hasn`t been used in the project it just shows you how to emboss with the fibres. Take the fibre ball and ease out the fibres so they lie in a straight line.
Place the fibres into the folder and emboss as normal. Pull the edges to give a rough effect to the piece.
Take a piece of blue pearl card and emboss the piece. Spritz the card with the Cosmic Shimmer blue lime mist and dab with a piece of kitchen roll to get a solid colour finish.
Now swipe the perfect medium ink pad across the inside the embossing folder, run through your die cutting machine with a piece of card inside. Then brush the turquoise sky mica powder over the card using a brush. Spritz with water to set the mica.
Now you have different toning pieces of embossed card to match with the fantasy film flowers.
Cut a frame and use the centre panel to stamp the flower sentiment stem using the peeled paint distress ink pad. Then add the leaves and stamp the flower head half off the panel using the vintage photo in pad.
Place all the components in front of you before selecting the pieces you need to complete the card.
Stamp & cut out 2 flower heads using the fancy pants paper and distress the edges with the vintage photo ink. Also stamp 2 leaves and ink using the peeled paint ink and the cut`n`dry foam. Distress the edges of the stamped panel to age the piece.
Cut an A3 piece of card down to size to make a square card. Select the already distressed piece of printed paper and run an open scissor blade down the edge. This will roughen the edge and give an aged look to the paper.
Distress the edge further using the cut`n`dry foam and the vintage photo distress ink.
Tie a bow using a white organza ribbon and place 2 pearl pins through the centre of the bow.
Build the card up by matting the papers up using foam pads. Then add the blue and green embossed panels before adding the frame and stamped panel. Add the decoupaged leaves and flower head to the panel. Now add a pearl brad to the centre of the flower. Finish the card with the bow and film flower.
A close up of the flower.
