Step by Step Instructions

1 Spritz 4 pieces of A7 mount board with the plum twist cosmic shimmer mist.

2 Once you have the first layer of mist on the board dab with a piece of kitchen roll to give an even coloured base to the piece. Then add a 2nd layer of the mist and allow to dry.

2

3 Once dry the pieces will look similar to this piece above. Repeat the process on the reverse of the board on all 4 pieces.

3

4 Run the dusty concord ink pad along the edges of the board to cover the white edge. Do this on all 4 pieces.

4

5 Cut a piece of purple card to 14.4cms x 14.4cms and score 2cms in on all 4 edges.

5

6 Cut notches in the 4 corners and crease up all the scored lines. Place the sticky thumb tape on the 4 corner tabs.

6

7 Fold up the sides and stick the tabs on the outside of the box. This will give a nice neat finish to the inside of the box.

7

8 Place glue on one of the sides of the box.

 8

9 Attach the prepared panel to the outside of the box and press down inside the box to ensure the glue sticks well to the piece.

9

10 Repeat this on the other side of the box, and then add glue to the edge of the box and down the thin edge of the board. Stick and hold the panel in place whilst the glue sets. Repeat this on the last side. To help you can add a ribbon around the box to hold it in place whilst the glue sets.

10

11 Cut a piece of the harlequin grungeboard to 13cms x 13cms. Colour the piece using the dusty concord ink pad and spritz it with the plum twist. Distress the edges with dusty concord ink using the cut`n`dry foam before wrapping a piece of ribbon around the panel and finishing with a bow. Place 2 tassels through a hole in the lid.

11

12 Cut 2 pieces of thick card or grey board to 10cms x 10cms and spritz with the plum twist mist. Glue the 2 pieces together and once they are dry stick the piece on the inside of the box lid. This will create a ridge to inside of the lid so it will fit nicely inside the box.

12

13 Tie a ribbon around the box before attaching the box feet to bottom corners of the box using 3d glue.

13

14 Place a paper flower with leaves to complete the box. A great box for jewellery, a special gift or anything you might like to fill it with.

14

One Response to Cosmic Shimmer Box with Ideaology Box Feet

  1. Paper Junkie says:

Having just bought the buttons floral stamps to do Sue Wilson’s flowers, all I need now is the metal feet for this project. Thank you Suzanne for a stunning box. I love everything about it, especially the colour. Fab!
