Step by Step Instructions

1 To tone different elements of the project take a paper flower embellishment and select the blue lime cosmic shimmer mister. The colour will be used to colour the stamped image and to make the shaker frame, and shows the different techniques for the mist.

1

2.  Shake the bottle to mix all the mica before starting the project. Hold the flower with tweezers; spray the flower with the mist.

2

Lift the petals and spray underneath the petals , also dab the petals in the ink on the non stick mat, this will pick up the colour.TopTip. Place the flowers on an old tea towel and dry them over a radiator.

3

Take the largest size curved rectangle die and the 3rd largest die and place them onto the magnetic spacer mat. Cut and emboss a piece of white card to create the outer frame. Also cut a solid white piece with the largest or 2nd largest die and then cut an acetate solid piece with the 2nd largest die.

5  Spritz the frame with the mister and allow to dry.

5

6 Apply the wonder tape around the inside of the outer frame and attach the acetate piece to the frame.

6

7 Stamp the image onto the large solid white piece with the archival ink and emboss using the clear embossing powder. You can emboss the archival ink but you have to add the embossing powder quickly to get it to stick to the ink.

7

Spritz some prepared cosmic shimmer mists into a white ceramic dish or use a white tile. This will give you a clear guide to the colours if mixing.

8

9  Picking up the colour onto a fine brush, work on building up your image in different tones. On the dress the blue has been coloured half way down and then a cleaned brush has dragged the colour down to achieve a light tone to the dress.

9

10  Complete the whole image and use the cosmic skin watercolour to colour the face, legs and hands. Heat set or allow to dry. Apply double sided foam tape to the acetate frame ensuring there are no gaps in the tape. Use 2 rows of tape if the shaker pieces are large, this will allow more space to shake the pieces.

10

11 Once the image is dry swipe the card with the anti static bag and then place the shaker pieces over the image.

11

12 Remove the backing of the foam tape and place the prepared frame over image to seal all the shaker pieces within.

12

13 Prepare a base card by folding a blue piece of A5 card in half and then cut a piece of green card slightly smaller. Emboss close to the edge of the green card to add added interest.

13

14 Stamp the green card using a swirl stamp and the shabby shutters distress ink. Mount this onto the base card and apply the shaker part to the card. Attach the coloured flowers to the corner of the image and finish with a bow corner of the frame. Add the stickles to the centre of the flower to add some extra sparkle.
