Step by Step Instructions

1 Take the 12” x 12” sheet of Fancy Pants paper and decide which side you want to use for the inside of the bon bon box. The distressed plainer side works well for showing off stamped panels or the patterned side is great for the outside when wanting a quick project.

The 12” x12” paper needs to be divided into 3 equal sections, so measure & score at 4” intervals or for quickness use a scoring board and score at the DL score line. Once the first DL score line has been made keep rotating and scoring each edge at the DL line till all 4 sides are scored.

The paper will now have 9 squares boxes, now score diagonally in each of the 4 corners boxes only.

Crease all the main scored lines downwards, and ease the diagonal corner score lines downwards ready for the next step.

Pinch the corners together so it forms a triangle of paper on the inside and the squares and sides of the box meet.

Crease and use a bone folder to sharpen the triangle inside edge, this will give a nice crisp finish to the box.

Punch a hole in each of the 4 corners of the paper.

Distress the paper with the cut`n`dry foam & Victorian velvet distress ink.

Take 2 lengths of coordinating ribbon and starting from the outside of the paper thread the ribbon through the first hole and then pick up the next hole and thread the ribbon through to the outside.

10 Repeat this on the opposite side of the box till all points are picked up. Now pull the ribbon tight and secure both ribbons with a separate knot.

11 Tie each ribbon separately to make more of a feature of each ribbon.

12 The base of the box is now complete and ready for you to decorate further if you wish.

13 Cut and emboss 4 shapes using the large label die. It is nice to mix the colours so cut 2 from a pink paper and 2 from a blue paper. Once embossed leave the die in place and use it as a stencil. Apply the ink using cut`n`dry foam. This gives an added layer look to the paper.

14 Stamp the panels with distress inks and attach to the box with the tape to complete the project. Fill the box as required.

A nice quick project to enhance a small gift you may want to send to a friend.
