Step by Step Instructions

1 Take your Mallow Blush Cosmic Shimmer and once you have prepared the spray by mixing all the mica, apply a fine mist over your card. Use a non stick mat underneath

1

2 Spray some excess Shimmer onto the mat and using some scrunched up plastic add some depth to the edge with the ink .This frames your work nicely

2

3 Add some walnut Distress Ink over the top. Once your paper is dry rub over with an anti static bag before you stamp

3

4 Stamp and emboss in black onto the corner so you get the full scroll design onto the page

4

Here I have stamped and embossed 3 more times so I can decoupage the flower. This is optional

5

6 Prepare your watercolours by spritzing them 15 minutes before working with them and then again when you start. Add different shades of green for the leaves and then add a deep layer of red to the edge of the rose petals

6

Add pink to the inside of the rose petals  and using a tissue blot the rose and add more colour if you wish until you have your desired finish

7

Add yellow to parts of the petal edges to bring depth the image

8

9 If the background design feels a bit to o pink after colouring in the rose, add a mist of the Ancient Copper Shimmer Mist to tone the piece down. Allow to dry afterwards

9

10 Now cut out your rose pieces, one with the whole rose and leaves and then one with just part of the leaves then just part of the rose

10

11 Now for the waterfall feature made using your Nestibility dies. Take 2 dies which will mat one onto the other and then a larger die which needs to be the same width as the largest of the 2 dies you choose

11

12 Crease and fold your card using the full length of an A4 sheet of card and attach your die cutting edge down to the card and secure using your low tack tape. Make sure your top edge of the die doesn`t  touch the card so this will not cut and gives you a double length piece of card once it has been through your die cutting machine

12

13  As you have  a double length card, if you want an embossed edge place the card in the die and run your embossing tool around the die to emboss by hand. Repeat on the other end of the card too

13

14 Open out your long piece of card and score 3 lines at 2cm intervals. You can do 4 if you are making a 4 panel waterfall card

14

15 Crease over the 3 score lines as in the photo, with the longest part falling behind. Then cut 3 larger shapes in the matching green card and 3 smaller shapes in some matching misted paper

15

16 Apply double sided tape just below each score line, or you can use glue if you prefer

16

17 You can stamp a rose design at this point to each waterfall panel or do it at the end. Attach all 3 panels to each of the pieces of tape

17

18 As you have only 3 panels to this waterfall you`ll need to shorten the waterfall mechanism. Just make sure you have 2cm`s below the panel to add a tassel or bow to pull the waterfall down

18

19 To cut this line use your die as a stencil to get the same shape across the bottom. Then trim this excess away

19

20 Make a strip of matching card around 2cm deep and 2cm`s wider than the waterfall mechanism and make a hole each end

20

21 Apply some tape behind the last panel of the waterfall. Then attach the strip to this making sure your ends are the same distance each side

21

22 As you have a crease line where the card was folded cut a mat of card and place over the length of card to strengthen it

22

23 Decoupage and build your rose up using foam squares, glue or 3D glue. Then matt onto gold mirri card or card of your choice

23

24 So it looks like this. Mount this design onto your base card

24

25 Add your waterfall feature to your card by making 2 small holes behind the already made hole on the waterfall card. Attach the waterfall using brads and finish with a tassel

25

26 Here is the waterfall with a stamped rose image. I have added 3 paper roses which I have sprayed using Cosmic Shimmer Mists to match in with the design
